Loeb-Larocque Rare Maps and Books specializes in maps, atlases and travel books from the 16th to the 19th century.

Louis Loeb-LarocqueThe firm was founded in 1958 by Beatrice's father Louis Loeb-Larocque. Orginally he arrived in France from Germany shortly after World War II. He first started an antiquarian map and book shop in Monaco. Then he shortly after moved to Paris. He built a company specialized in early maps, atlases, travel books and prints. The shop was located at Rue Le Peletier in Paris until Beatrice's father's death in 1996, and was frequently visited by collectors and fellow dealers from all parts of the world.

beatrice at 10Béatrice Loeb-Larocque joined the company in 1982, after having been interested in books since childhood. The picture on the right was taken at the 1968 Stutgartt Antiquarian Book Fair.

Since November 1996, Béatrice Loeb-Larocque has been the expert of the yearly auction of old maps and views, atlases, prints and travel books organized by Binoche - Giquello.

Béatrice Loeb LarocqueAt present, the rare maps and books shop is located at 31 rue de Tolbiac, Paris in the lively 13th district, a 5 mn walk from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and China Town. Visitors are welcomed to visit our shop by appointment only from Monday through Friday.
We carry a fine stock of maps from all parts of the world, atlases, prints and illustrated books.

Besides being an expert for consigned items in auctions held at Drouot,  Béatrice Loeb-Larocque has been the expert in charge of the annual Binoche - Renaud - Giquello November auction which offers fine and rare maps and views, atlases, prints and travel books. The next auction will take place on 6 November 2009.
