"Col." means the item has been applied by hand. "Col.ancien-d' époque" or "Original colours", means that the item was coloured at or about the time of publication. "Coloured/col." means that the map has been coloured in this century or recently.
Defaults are mentioned. The expert however does not take responsibility for damage arrived during the viewing days. Buyers are advised to inspect personally the lots. For further condition report please contact the expert. Measurements are given in centimeters, height is given first, excluding margins.

How to Bid

The estimated price shown for each lot should be used only as a guide. Lots may end up selling for more or less than the estimated price. The estimates do not include buyer's premium .
As a general rule we start the auction at about 80% of the estimated price.

Bids are executed at the minimum amount necessary to allow the highest bidder to remain.

Purchasers pay in addition to the hammer price, a buyer's premium of 23% (Taxes included)
and in addition shipping costs if applicable.

Proxy bidding

Orders can be placed by the Auctioneer and the Expert who will also represent those who cannot attend the sale personally.

To bid by mail, phone, fax or Email, please make your request one day before the sale, accompanied by your bank references. We are not responsible for bids later received.
We will attempt to execute your bid at the lowest price possible, up to your specified maximum bid.

Payment

All purchases must be paid immediately.

The auctioneer Binoche et Giquello accepts cash, bankwire, Visa, Mastercard, Carte Bleue, checks. For foreign checks less than 3000 Euro we charge 15 Euro handling fee.
Buyers are advised that property will not be released until such checks have cleared, unless you have a prearranged check acceptance account.

The items are shipped at buyers expense, when your payment is received.
