Two maps on one sheet. Both maps are highly detailed, filled with place names. The Philippines are shown from the Bashee Islands in the north to the Sooloo Archipelago in the south.

The Weekly Dispatch newspaper was published between the years 1856 and 1862, and included in each edition a map of a different part of the world.

First edition, published in the Weekly Dispatch newspaper in 1858, and subsequently in the Weekly Dispatch Atlas of 1863. The plates to this atlas were then acquired by Cassell who republished and sold the maps singly and in atlas format from 1863.
