Description

Finely designed map of Hyeres island and the Briançon fort. In top inset views of Aix, St. Tropez, Gulf of St. Tropez, Nice and Embrun. Another version exists with address of Covens and Mortier.

The Fort de Brégançon is a medieval fortress, located 35 metres (115 ft) above sea level on an islet off the French Mediterranean coast. It has been the official retreat of the President of France since 1968.
