Two charming views of Château de Madrid in Paris and Spain. The Château de Madrid was a Renaissance building in France. It was built in Neuilly, on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne, near Paris, in the early 16th century, but fell into disuse in the 17th and 18th centuries and was almost completely demolished in the 1790s.

From the original 1683 text edition of "Description d'Univers. . ." by Allain Manesson Mallet (1630-1706), a well travelled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century France under King Louis XIV.
