A large and decorative, informative chart illustrating and describing the Solar System, backed by the stars, printed in blue and black, surrounded by further 17 vignette depictions of natural, particularly astronomical, phenomena. French text describes over 60 numbered features relating to the planets, stars and comets including the sixteen bordering illustrations. This fine educational sheet is dissected and mounted on canvas as issued.
The diagrams and descriptive text are in French and prepared by Etienne Laporte. The author's name appears in a globe under the map.
