The "Teatro della Guerra" (Theatre of War) is a rare work, originally intended to consist of forty-eight volumes, but only twenty-seven were published in Venice between 1706 and 1709, although they bear different indications. According to Coronelli, the Theater of War was to be "divided into XXXXVIII parts, in which are precisely delineated ... the kingdoms, provinces, cities, fortresses ... described up to the year 1700: the kingdoms, provinces, cities ... of Europe, Asia, Africa, and both Americas, in plan, view, or elevation, with their new fortifications." It contains a description of the states involved in the War of the Spanish Succession.
