Description

Map of the department of Vaucluse published in "Atlas Général de France", divided by departments by Donnet and Monin, geographers engineers, with Arms and Views of Chapuy, engraved on copper and on steel by Artus, Malo, Bénard, Traversier. Paris, at M.B. Dusillon [1841].
Each card is decorated with a view of the capital of the department and a statistical text relating to the administration, agriculture, industry, trade as well as monuments and famous people.

Alexis Donnet: Geographer attached to the Cadastre, he is at the origin of an abundant cartographic work often republished. To his maps of France and around Paris are added maps of Italy and the Iberian Peninsula, and maps concerning the new railway lines.
