First edition of "Plan du territoire de Marseille", drawn by Mittenhoff, a surveyor, and lithographed by Raibaud. Scale 1:30,000. The map includes a legend with numbers 1–47 and letters A–G. Mittenhoff (born in 1809) was employed as a surveyor by the Marseille City Hall in 1852, leading to the publication of this map that same year, based on documents from various government agencies, at a scale of 1:30,000.
It is one of the first large-scale maps of the municipality of Marseille. The map, of excellent quality and having been very successful, was reprinted at least twice.
