A lovely colorful lithograph illustration to accompany the song "The Beautiful Bourbonnaise". The lyrics to the song flank the print, which shows a woman bedridden, possibly dying, in misery, surrounded by four people.
One is trying to administer some hot soup to the sick woman, a tearful gentleman is seen at the back, another young girl is helping the sick woman to 'sit up' so she can take a little of the soup, and a man, at the side, holds a huge smoking syringe. They all appear to be an attic.
