This rare and decorative adverising poster uses the world map by Presbyter Chrysanthos, who was the Patriarch of Jerusalem. In the top we see John Constantine Bessaraba whose portrait and coat of arms sit above the two hemispheres. The map is encircled by astronomical diagrams, and navigational instruments. As with the original map (Shirley 598) California is shown as an island with broad, indented northern coast; southern portion is elongated and narrow.

The two hemispheres are filled with animals. This advertising poster was made for the several Parisian importers and exporters of animal pelts.
