¤ Early imprint of this fine map of Germany, Poland, Low countries, Switzerland and Austria. The map was first published by Tavernier and later by Mariette. This edition carries the dates 1642 and 1645, with the address of Pierre Mariette in the title. Nicolas Sanson was to bring about the rise of French cartography, although the fierce competition of the Dutch would last until the end of the century. His success was partly owing to the partnership with the publisher Pierre Mariette. In 1644 the latter had purchased the business of Melchior Tavernier, and helped Sanson with financial support in producing the maps. In 1657 Pierre Marriette died, however his son, also named Pierre, co-published Les Cartes Générales de toutes les parties du Monde. the following year. It was the first folio French produced world atlas.

¤ Rare and detailed map of Germany, Poland and Austria, engraved by H. le Roy in 1643 or 1666 for Jacques L'Agniet. The publishing house Jollain bought the copper plate and changed the address on the plate. Jollain was a family of French engravers and publishers who lived and worked in the 17th and 18th centuries, mainly in Paris.

¤ A very uncommon and superbly decorative map of Lower Saxony, the region southwest of Dresden. Including the towns of Rochlitz, Geringswalde, Mittweida, Frankenberg, Chemnitz, Stollberg, Elterlein, Schneeberg, Reichenbach, Greiz, Ronneburg, Gössnitz, Frohburg und Altenburg. In the center of the map Waldenburg, Glauchau, Hohnstein and Lichtenstein. The map is embellished with large title, key and scale of miles cartouches and a compass rose. But the most interesting features are the myriad of different symbols representing the cities, towns, churches, farms, postal stations, mines, mills forests, etc.

¤ Carte manuscrite du plan schématique de la Bataille de Kesseldorf (Dresde) qui a eu lieu au cours de la guerre de Succession d'Autriche, rehaussée à l'aquarelle, et signée dans le coin inf. droit. Frédéric II de Prusse a confié au prince Léopold de Anhalt-Dessau, commandant de l’armée de l’Elbe, la mission de neutraliser l’armée Saxonne. Kesselsdorf est la dernière bataille livrée par le prince Anhalt-Dessau, grand réformateur militaire (inventeur de la baguette en fer). C'est une victoire d'une offensive frontale victorieuse face à de l’artillerie, celle des Prussiens et Austro-Saxons sur les Saxons, acquise au prix du mitraillage de l'infanterie prussienne par les canons saxons. Titre complet : "Erfochtener Sieg der Königs Preusischen Armée unter Commando des Fürstens zu Anhalt bey Kesselsdorff ohnveit Dresden gegen die Combinirte Oesterreiche und Saxishe Armée. D.15ten Décebr. 1745".
